Welcome to THE ICE CENTER!

Spring, or shall we say summer, is here! Weather is beautiful, people are getting out and being so active. New hockey teams are gearing up for Spring and Summer tournaments. A new skating lesson session is starting up. Adult instructional programs are on tap for a May start date. WOW, lots going on here in Waterbury. 

Just a reminder that The Ice Center will be CLOSED from Monday, May 13th to Friday afternoon May 17th. We open back up for the Women’s Pick Up Hockey session at 4:30 pm on the 17th. We are CLOSED because we are installing new lights above the rink which will greatly benefit everyone who steps through the doors here. We will have a brighter ice surface, we will decrease our energy costs and use more efficient light bulbs. We are really excited to bring this change to the rink for YOU!

Kellian Hockey starts two new instructional skills sessions on May 20th and 23rd. Both sessions are for intermediate level skaters and will focus on individual skill instruction as well as scrimmage. Details and registration forms can be found at www.kellianhockey.com

Laura Stamm Power Skating camp is back this summer. Two sessions in June and August will get you out on the ice working on your stride, balance and skating skills. More details at www.laurastamm.com

Stop in our Pro Shop next time you are here. Our qualified staff can put a great sharpen on your skates, get you whatever tape, laces, socks or other items you need. They can also let you know what the schedule is so that you can book your next ice skating endeavor! We still have plenty of the new Reebok Bruins colored socks in stock.
