Summer Time

Waterbury is a great town and we are so glad to be part of the community. As a year round rink we are able to offer lots of regular events as well as seasonal groups. If you want to be a part of The Ice Center just stop by or peruse our website to see if there is something for you and your family or friends to take part in.

Figure skating and recreational skating here in Waterbury are on the upswing! The addition of a new Basic Skills program for youth and adults that started in February 2010 is a great way to bring new skaters into the fold. Join your friends for a fun public skating session and get your daily dose of exercise at the same time! Lessons have begun and participants are reaping the benefits of great instruction.

This summer has brought us returning hockey groups as well as a few new ones. Want to join in? Check out our Contacts Page. The Instructional Clinics were a huge hit; so much so that we are working towards starting a new session for those who participated in the Novice clinic! See Adult Hockey for more info and how you can be a part of it all.

The Capital Soccer Club new field is looking fantastic! Mowing and maintenance have made it look like a great addition and we are excited to play on it next season!

Our new website should help us keep you, our skaters, better informed about what is happening at the rink. Schedule updates, open ice times, newsletters and more will be coming your way. Give us your feedback so that we can continue to improve YOUR rink!

Check us out on FACEBOOK. Keep up to date with schedule changes, additional ice times, fun tidbits and more. Have some great skating shots? Post them for all your friends to see.

THINGS TO NOTE:

There are a few things we want to bring to our customers' attention. Thanks for your udnerstanding and if you have any questions, please call us at 244-4040 or email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

  • Puck Bucket: We want to provide pucks for you, our skaters, when you arrive here to play. If the pucks keep disappearing at this rate, we will have to change this policy. PLEASE - use our pucks freely and then return them to the puck bucket provided. We don't want to have to pass on any additional puck cost to you
  • Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: We work hard to recycle all the bottles and cans we get here. We also redeem those worth .05 and put the money towards rink projects that benefit you! Please help us in our environmental quest and use the recycling buckets provided throughout the rink. The big round garbage bins are for garbage. The smaller square buckets next to the grabage cans are for bottles and cans. THANK YOU
