Learn to Skate
Basic Skills Group Lessons For Children, Teens, & Adults
The Ice Center is proud to offer group lessons for all ages & abilities. Learn to skate with us and gain skills that can provide a lifetime of wellness, fitness, and family-friendly enjoyment! Whether you're interested in playing ice hockey, and/or becoming a figure skater who jumps & spins & dances, a racing speed skater, or just a much better recreational skater, we provide a solid foundation to help you excel in every area. Plus it's fun!
Fridays 5:00 - 6:00 PM ... August 27 - October 1, 2010 (6 weeks)
Fee: $85 - includes a ½ hour group lesson & ½ hour of practice each week, skate rental, evaluation on the last day of class, and Basic Skills membership with US Figure Skating
Drop-in rate: $15 per class (registration form must be filled out and the fee must be paid before you get on the ice)
Saturdays 12:15 - 1:45 PM ... August 28 - October 2, 2010 (6 weeks)
Fee: $85 - includes a ½ hour group lesson & 1 hour of practice each week, skate rental, evaluation on the last day of class, and Basic Skills membership with US Figure Skating
Drop-in rate: $15 per class (registration form must be filled out and the fee must be paid before you get on the ice)
Classes will be divided by age and skill level on the first day. Please arrive early to allow plenty of time for registration & class assignment, renting & getting skates on, etc.
Bring a friend and receive $5 off! Both skaters must be registered & paid in full for the entire 6 weeks. Friend must not have taken group lessons at The Ice Center in the last 6 months. Only one friend discount per person.
Register early and receive $5 off! Must be registered & paid in full for the entire 6 weeks before the first day of class.
Family Discount - $5 off for each immediate family member in one household (spouse, parent, child, sibling - same address!). Each skater must be registered & paid in full for the entire 6 weeks. Only one family discount per person.
(Maximum of $15 total discount per person; if registered early, and bringing a friend, and bringing a family member, and all 3 skaters have registered & paid for the entire 6 weeks of classes.)
NO refunds after classes have started. Make up classes subject to availability, class size, and instructor approval.
Registration forms are available now on the rink bulletin board and in The Ice Center office. (They can also be mailed to you upon request.)
Please note that The Ice Center does not take credit or debit cards. Cash or checks only.
A properly fitted helmet (hockey, ski, or bicycle) is strongly recommended for everyone, especially children age 5 and under and new adult skaters. (Helmets are not available at The Ice Center.)
